Talks, tours, workshops and other activities have featured throughout the Jewellery Quarter Townscape Heritage (JQTH) project. Our Heritage with a View series offered talks on the Quarter’s history in locations with a good vantage point of the area. Online talks included the conservation of the Argent Centre, the war effort in the Quarter from 1939-45, and a series delivered in partnership with Heritage Lincolnshire on historic buildings. Tours of the Industrial Middle area of the Quarter were themed to include urban sketching, ghost signs (faded historic signs and lettering on buildings), and creative writing walks inspired by the buildings. Activities were offered on a wide range of themes. Our Spotlight on a Street events featured key streets in the Quarter and included workshops for families, schools and general visitors. Practical activities included medal and jewellery making, lime pointing, and Chamberlain Clock model making!
