Marketing

Our newsletter emails, sent out quarterly, contain information to inform you of the work that the JQDT CIC is delivering in the local community. We do not sell advertising and they are not influenced by any third parties.

We will never send you emails paid for by a third party – emails are designed to inform or seek opinion only.

We run a Business Directory on our website (https://jewelleryquarter.net/jq-directory/ ) the information displayed here should be that of a business nature as opposed to personal information. In order to display and maintain these records publicly we shall receive explicit written permission from businesses/individuals involved and it will only be displayed on this web page and never used for any other purposes.

We display a What’s On page on our website (https://jewelleryquarter.net/whats-on/) which aims to inform members of the public about events taking place across the Jewellery Quarter. We will only display information when we have sought consent from the relevant event host.

Information which we may collect

We collect personal information about you when you register to receive a JQ Newsletter or if you agree to be contacted by us for the purposes of promoting events within the Jewellery Quarter.

We shall retain your information for as long as you remain a subscriber to our newsletter or our Business Directory. When you unsubscribe or request to be removed, we will delete the information you provided us with.  Please contact Mailchimp if you have any queries that relate to our newsletter after you request removal/unsubscribe.

In order to process any of the requests listed below, we may need to verify your identity for your security. In such cases your response will be necessary for you to exercise this right.

The right to access the information we hold about you

At any point you can contact us to request that the information we hold about you as well as why we have that information, who has access to the information and where we got the information. Once we have received your request we will respond within 30 days. 

The right to correct and update the information we hold about you

If the data we hold about you is out of date, incomplete or incorrect, you can inform us and we will ensure that it is updated.

The right to have your information erased

If you feel that we should no longer be using your data or that we are illegally using your data, you can request that we erase the data we hold. When we receive your request, we will confirm whether the data has been deleted or tell you the reason why it cannot be deleted.

You have the right to request that we transfer your data to another controller. Once we have received your request, we will comply where it is feasible to do so.
