Over recent months our volunteers have been busy delving into the archives, investigating the history of buildings of buildings in the JQ Townscape Heritage area. We want to make information about buildings available and accessible to as many people as possible – over the next year we hope to roll out heritage text panels throughout the Quarter, informing passers-by and visitors about the fascinating and often surprising stories about the buildings that lie within.

We tried out the idea during Spotlight on Vittoria Street, adding panels into the windows of School of Jewellery. Our volunteer Steve worked hard to gather a selection of photos and documents which show the School’s development over time. They will be on display at School of Jewellery until at least the end of June, but we’ve added them below if you can’t make it down to Vittoria Street – we hope you enjoy!
