In this workshop we will be creating expressive monoprints working from previously unseen photographs of hidden spaces and empty buildings in the Jewellery Quarter, taken by artist Jemma Gunning. You will be guided through the many ways of creating a monoprint which all have their own unique qualities, allowing for the creation of multi-layered and colourful prints.

All materials included, come along and get inky!

Jemma specialises in intaglio and lithographic processes, her practice explores the documentation of urban and industrial decline. She is interested in recording our heritage before it is obliterated from our landscapes. Her work asks us to slow down and to consider buildings that too many of us just walk past and ignore.
