Nigel has been involved in the Jewellery Quarter since leaving school in 1977. At aged sixteen, he started to work for J Froggatt who were cameo mounters. He stayed here until 1988 when he left to set up his own business in the rear workshop of Deakin & Francis.
Nigel met his wife Michelle in the jewellery trade, she worked for a gold jeweller and they married in 1995.
Nigel left self-employment in 1999 to work for Deakin & Francis where he still works as a goldsmith.
